RUD. PREY Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG — PREY Fire Fighting for short—is a long-established, medium-sized company now in its third century and fourth generation of leadership in its successful history. Since its founding in 1892, PREY has been 100% owned by the founding family and has operated ever since as a proud, owner-managed business.

As experienced mechanical engineers in the field of material handling and motion control technology, we have specialized over the course of the last century in the development, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of elevators, firefighting equipment, and custom material handling systems.

Due to our strong growth since the 2010s, we spun off our firefighting technology product division—including all manufacturing operations— as an independent entity effective January 1, 2023. Today, PREY Fire Fighting markets and supports its high-quality standard products and custom systems worldwide —backed by a strong network of numerous partners and its own service stations.

We are a medium-sized industrial company that combines the comprehensive range of services offered by a corporate group with the flexibility and customer focus of a small business. We are committed to the highest quality from our own facilities: We manufacture our products in-house and invest in the future by training our own next generation as a reliable employer, training partner, and academic mentor.
