Until now, conventional maintenance technology for chemical protective suits and related equipment has largely relied on manual solutions. Cleaning, disinfection, and drying were carried out using wash basins, spray lances, lance racks, hot air blowers, as well as overhead rail systems or in cabins with partially automated process steps.
These manual and semi-automated procedures typically involved physically demanding tasks, such as inserting bulky lance racks into the protective clothing and manually transporting the suits using mobile carriers or within rail systems. As a result, space requirements were considerable, depending on the size of the rail systems or cabins, as well as additional testing areas where suits had to be laid out flat for inspection.
PREY has now, for the first time, succeeded in fully integrating the leak-tightness testing of chemical protective suits into the overall process and combining all subprocesses within a single cabin. This enables the entire testing and maintenance process to be automated inside the cabin, with a minimal footprint of just 2.5 m² for a single-station unit including system cabinet.
Our automated testing and maintenance technology features a modular design and is available in three variants: a fully automated cabin, a semi-automated cabin, or a semi-automated open-space solution—providing the right system for every requirement.
Our CPA 24 remains unique to this day: No other manufacturer offers a comparable system, which directly integrates the automatic leak test for chemical protective suits directly into the maintenance process.
The system thus consistently covers the entire process —from intake in the hot zone to output in the cold zone. Cleaning, disinfection, and drying are fully automated, both inside and out, including automatic transport of the suits through the entire process.
